The orientation programs for the students of the Department of Chemical and Chemical Processing Technologies were completed with visits by our Director of the Vocational School of Technical Sciences, Prof. Dr. Aliihsan Şekertekin, and our Deputy Directors, Lecturer Dr. Metehan Günde and Lecturer Rüştü Çallı.
The program began with the screening of an introductory video about our university. Subsequently, our Director of the Vocational School of Technical Sciences, Prof. Dr. Aliihsan Şekertekin, provided our department students with information about our vocational school and its educational processes. The program continued with presentations delivered by our department faculty members, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayşe Türkhan and Lecturer Musa Karadağ.
In her presentation, our Head of Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayşe Türkhan, informed students about illegal activities such as online betting, gambling, and renting out bank accounts (IBANs). The presentation emphasized the importance of young people staying away from such activities and acting carefully and responsibly in order to avoid potential risks. Furthermore, attention was drawn to the importance of raising students’ awareness of the potential legal and personal consequences of involvement in such illegal activities.
Students were provided with information about the Chemistry Technology and Cosmetic Technology programs, which are currently offered within the Department of Chemical and Chemical Processing Technologies. In the presentation delivered by Lecturer Musa Karadağ, students were informed about the educational content, career opportunities, and professional fields of both programs, while the key differences between the two programs were also explained in detail.
